Rick Love brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the field of addiction counseling. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades, Rick has made significant contributions to the industry. As the former Staff Training and Development Director at Haymarket Center in Chicago, IL, he led the development of an IAODAPCA Accredited CADC Preparatory Training Program, equipping countless professionals with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in drug and alcohol counseling. Rick's leadership extended to coordinating Men's Services, where he oversaw a range of critical programs, providing supervision, support, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.


Rick's commitment to excellence continued as he served as a Counselor Co-ed IOP, facilitating therapeutic groups, conducting clinical treatment planning, and maintaining patient charts to exacting quality assurance standards. He has also been a driving force in community outreach, serving as a Site Coordinator for CHA CADRE, offering prevention education and collaborating with community leaders to address local concerns. Rick's academic background includes a Master of Health Science from Governors State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Northeastern Illinois University, supplemented by his valuable experience in the U.S. Army. Moreover, Rick is highly certified, with credentials in Illinois Alcohol and other drug-abuse professional certification, DUI facilitation, compulsive gambling assessment, and more. His dedication to education and training is exemplified by his role on the GSU Addition Studies advisory board and HWC mental health advisory committee, as well as his involvement in The Love Foundation of Chicago and the Southside YMCA. With an outstanding record of achievement, Rick Love is a true leader in the field of addiction counseling.
